Zimara II is Eventstellar’s fourth extended play, originally released on January 16, 2019 and re-released in 2025 through Sólir Music. Conceptually, it continues the narrative initiated in the Zimara extended play, but with a deeper venture into experimental dream rock and abstract dream pop textures. While the original Zimara EP celebrated the feminine triad of muses through poetic intimacy. Zimara II expands their presence into the fabric of the cosmos, reframing them not just as women, but as stellar archetypes, eternally mapped across the night sky.

The EP was produced by Sylas Keene and Callum Nyx, mixed by Rhet Fenwick, mastered by Magnús Thomasson and recorded by Sōun Kanda at Skógafoss Studios and The Warehouse Zone. Each track in Zimara II revisits the original ballads through a more elusive and abstract lens, embracing celestial symbolism, constellation mythology, and sonic experimentation.

Zimara (Asterism Version), the revised title track expands on the metaphor of Zimara as an asterism—an unofficial constellation composed of three stars dancing across a hidden sky. These “star sisters” are no longer only metaphors for muses; they are literal astral bodies embedded in a parallel timeline. This version distorts space and melody. Layering loops, reverbs and spatial delay to evoke the sensation of being suspended between gravitational pulls. It is both a cosmological chant and a reverent offering to the unknown.

The Ballad of Yvonne Zima (Nashira Version), this version reframes Yvonne’s mystique through the stellar presence of Nashira, the shining pearl of Capricornus. Meaning “the bearer of good news” in Arabic, Nashira is a star of quiet power, a beacon of clarity amidst the winter sky.  Yvonne is no longer just a muse—she becomes an author of constellations. “You are my frostbite,” the narrator confesses, both wounded and reverent. Her presence carries the weight of stories untold, written across timelines. In this version, her light is not chaotic or spontaneous—it is curated, cosmic, composed. The vocals are powerful, sovereign, observing from above. This is love not as passion, but as architecture—a devotion shaped by will and destined to endure.

The Ballad of Madeline Zima (Heze Version) here, Madeline’s quiet gravity and emotional depth are interpreted through the refined radiance of Heze, one of Virgo’s most delicate and enigmatic stars. Often overlooked in favor of brighter giants, Heze represents subtle influence and graceful presence. A light that does not demand attention, but transforms those who notice. This parallels Madeline’s archetype as an eternal observer, her aura unfolding through stillness rather than spectacle. The arrangement leans into a soft fusion of dream pop and dream softcore, allowing textures to drift like faded film reels and memory fragments. The song becomes a meditation on innocence suspended in time, and the quiet power of a muse who sees more than she says.

The Ballad of Vanessa Zima (Nunki Version), in this reimagined version, Vanessa’s essence is refracted through the luminous energy of Nunki, one of the principal stars in the constellation Sagittarius. Often associated with the guiding arrow and the spiritual seeker. Nunki burns with direction and purpose. Its ancient name, believed to come from Babylonian astronomy, evokes both celestial navigation and noble character, an ideal reflection of Vanessa’s archetype.  Musically, the track adopts a dream rock sensibility, with shimmering textures and rhythmic momentum that recalls a lineage of space-conscious British influence. The song pulses forward with a sense of mission, a trajectory toward light. Vanessa is no longer only the arrow, she is the arc in motion, fierce yet graceful, symbolic of love that knows exactly where to land.

Brethren
The EP concludes with Brethren, a new composition that serves as the spiritual and narrative closure of the Zimara canon. With minimalist instrumentation and a slow-burning, celestial arrangement, the song offers a final benediction to the trio of muses—Vanessa, Madeline and Yvonne—now fully ascended into symbolic star-forms. The lyrics evoke a quiet night under an uncharted sky, where the singer communes with three cosmic lights. “No crown, no throne, just light / Crossing the void between the nights.” It is a farewell and a vow. Brethren binds the triad into one—emerald, crimson, and olive—three colors on a single spectral thread, guiding the soul through infinite dusk.

Zimara II is not merely a sequel, but a metaphysical extension. It reframes love, longing and memory through astronomical archetypes. Each woman becomes a force of the universe: not merely inspiration, but constellation. In this phase of Eventstellar, love is no longer only lyrical—it is orbital.
