“369” is Eventstellar’s seventh single and the third official release from their debut full-length album Strangelet. Released on July 10, 2017, it was recorded during the same sessions as “Threads of Light”. The single was produced by Manley Brown with production assistance from Rúnar Sigurðsson. Engineering was handled by Sōun Kanda, mixing by Einar Solheim and Cian Solheim and mastering by Thor Linnane.

Rooted in numerical mysticism and the popular fascination with Nikola Tesla’s enigmatic 3-6-9 sequence, the single explores the idea of numbers as a symbolic key to the hidden architecture of the universe. Across three distinct versions, Eventstellar translates this concept into sound, with each composition offering a different interpretation of numerical patterns, cosmic order and the mystery of creation.

369 is the central composition, a luminous blend of atmospheric dream pop and space rock that reflects on the universe’s hidden symmetry. With verses such as “Not a bang, but a breath” and a chorus repeating “Three becomes six, six seeks nine,” the song explores creation, motion and the elusive nature of origins. Its musical progression evokes a spiral of recurring patterns, where numbers become metaphors for the forces shaping existence.

369 (Borealis Version) reimagines the composition through a glacial, atmospheric soundscape inspired by the northern landscapes. Drifting through icy textures and expansive sonic spaces, this interpretation evokes the stillness of Arctic skies and the distant movement of celestial bodies. Its restrained dynamics suggest a quieter dimension of the original concept, where numerical order meets the vast silence of the cosmos.

369 (Nikola Version) takes the composition into a darker, more earthbound dimension. With a pulsing low end and a more intense emotional character, this version explores the relationship between rhythm, vibration and resonance, concepts closely associated with Tesla’s scientific legacy. The imagery of a flame “inside the form” suggests an underlying energy concealed within the visible world, connecting the song’s numerical symbolism with the mysteries of matter and motion.

Together, the three versions explore the symbolic relationship between numbers, energy and the natural world. Inspired by the mystique surrounding Tesla’s 3-6-9 sequence, the single reflects Eventstellar’s fascination with the possibility of an unseen order beneath the apparent complexity of the universe.
